Medal hanger with your race route
Put the race you ran on the wall: the route as you ran it, the name of the race, your name and time, the hills of the course, and a row of hooks for the medals. Upload the GPX file or pick the run from Strava, and download a ready-to-print STL or 3MF.
Good to know
How do I get my race on the hanger?
Upload the GPX file of the race from Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot, Coros, Suunto, Polar or any other app, or connect Strava and pick the run from your activities. The route, the distance, your time and the date fill in by themselves, and you can change all of the text.
Which time does it use?
The time from start to finish, with stops included, as a race counts it. Your official chip time can differ by a few seconds: type it in the Time field. Within 3 % of a race distance, the official distance is used, so a GPS-measured 42.6 km reads 42.2 km.
Where does the height profile come from?
From your watch when the GPX file or Strava has the heights, otherwise from open elevation data along the route. A flat course stays low and a hilly one fills the strip, so you can see at a glance which race had the climbs.
How many medals does it hold?
Each standard hook holds three or four medals, a long hook five or more. The hanger is 160 to 420 mm wide with up to 16 hooks; the maker keeps them at least about 25 mm apart and warns when ribbons would overlap.
My printer is too small for it. What now?
Choose your bed size. A wider hanger is cut between two hooks into pieces with jigsaw tabs, which slide together from the front. A drop of superglue or PLA glue makes it one piece.
How do I hang it?
With two countersunk screws of 3.5 or 4 mm and wall plugs, through the holes at the ends of the hook bar, so the screws sit flush. Or choose mounting strips: then the hanger has no holes and two or three strong double-sided strips hold it, best placed behind the bar.
Does it print without supports?
Yes. It prints flat on its back with the hooks standing up. The tip of every hook leans at 45°, which any printer can bridge, and the hooks are printed as part of the plate, so there is nothing to glue.
Is it free?
Yes, without an account. Your GPX file is read in your browser and stays on your device.
