Good to know
Which stadiums are there?
48 of the best-known football stadiums: 16 in Brazil, from the Maracanã to the Arena do Grêmio, the big grounds of Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Mexico City, and Europe's famous stadiums from Camp Nou and Wembley to De Kuip and the Estádio da Luz. Lusail and MetLife are in as the last two World Cup finals.
How true to life is the model?
The outline is the stadium's real shape from OpenStreetMap, so La Bombonera has its flat side, Berlin's Olympiastadion its open end and the Etihad its towers. The stands rise in rows from the pitch to the outer wall, the pitch has its real markings and the roof covers the stands the way the real one does. The rows and the height are simplified so they print well.
How do I print it?
With a multi-colour printer (Bambu AMS, Prusa MMU) download the 3MF: plinth, stands, pitch, lines and name are set up as parts with their own filament. With one filament at a time, choose Separate pieces: the stadium and the pitch are two prints with one colour change each, and the pitch presses into the pocket in the middle.
How does the roof work?
The roof is a separate ring, printed upside down so it needs no supports. It rests on the outer wall of the stands and a rim round its edge keeps it in place. Lift it off to see the stands underneath. White or see-through filament looks the most like the real thing.
Can I change the name, colours and size?
Yes. Write anything on the plinth, for example your club and the year you were there, pick the colours of your club, and make it 100 to 250 mm wide. A higher height setting makes the stands steeper.
Is it free?
Yes: no account, no download limit, no watermark.
Is this an official product of a club or stadium?
No. Shapekit is not connected to any club, league or stadium. The names are only there to say which stadium the model shows; the shapes come from OpenStreetMap.
