Wi-Fi QR code to print
Type your network name and password and print a coaster, table sign or magnet that logs guests in with one scan. Your password stays on your device: the code is made in your browser.
Good to know
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
It holds your network name, password and security type in a standard format. The camera app on an iPhone or Android phone recognises it and offers to join the network, no typing needed.
Is my password safe?
The code is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere. Keep in mind that anyone who scans the print can join your network, so use a guest network when you can.
Which security type do I choose?
WPA/WPA2/WPA3 for almost every router today. WEP only for very old routers, and No password for an open network.
Will it scan?
The maker reads the code back from the design before you download it. Print the code dark on a light base in matte filament. Squares of 1.5 mm or bigger scan the most reliably.
Can a glass stand on the coaster?
Yes. For a fully flat top, choose Flush under Colours and printing: the code is set into the coaster instead of raised. That needs a multi-colour printer.
Is it free?
Yes, without an account.
