Headphone Stand - a free 3D model from Shapekit

A sturdy stand for over-ear headphones that goes together without screws or glue. The upright twists onto the base with a bayonet lock and the cushioned hanger slides onto a dovetail, so the joints can't be seen from the front. There's a tray for earbuds in the base and a hook at the back for the cable. Every part prints without supports.

Parts (each STL is already placed the right way up for printing)
- headphone-stand-base.stl: The wide foot with a tray for earbuds, and the bayonet spigot on its pedestal. Print: Flat on the bed, no supports. Use 35% infill or more to make it heavier.
- headphone-stand-upright.stl: The column, with the bayonet socket in its foot, a dovetail on top and a cable hook at the back. Print: Standing on its foot, no supports. A 5 mm brim helps the tall part stay put.
- headphone-stand-hanger.stl: The saddle the headband rests on: five cushions on an 80 mm radius, shaped like the top of a head (115 mm wide), so the headband sits as it does on you and isn't stretched. A dovetail slot underneath. Print: On its front face, no supports.

Also needed (not printed)
- Nothing to buy: no screws and no glue. The parts lock together.
- Optional: four small self-adhesive rubber feet under the base, so it doesn't slide on a smooth desk.
- Fits over-ear headphones and headsets up to about 250 mm from the top of the headband to the bottom of the ear cups, such as Sony WH-1000XM, AirPods Max and most gaming headsets.

Print settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layer height, 3 walls, 15% gyroid infill (35% for the base), PLA or PETG material.

Assembly
1. Print the parts: No supports needed. Print the base with 35% infill or more for weight, and the upright standing up with a brim.
2. Clean the joints: Scrape any elephant's foot off the edge of the socket in the upright's foot and the bottom of the hanger's slot, so the parts go together easily.
3. Set the upright on: Turn the upright about 35° anticlockwise (seen from above), line up the two slots in its foot with the lugs on the spigot and lower it onto the pedestal.
4. Lock it: Turn the upright clockwise until it lines up with the pedestal and stops. The lugs now hold it down.
5. Slide on the hanger: Put the hanger on the top of the upright, a few centimetres to the front, and push it backwards onto the dovetail until it stops and the front faces line up.
6. Use it: Hang your headphones on the cushions, drop your earbuds in the tray and wind the cable round the hook at the back.
